Advice for Trail Runners: The Ronhill Women's Freedom Trail Running Shoes should help you get from your door, to the trails, over the hills, and back again.
Designed by Harry Bolton, Ronhill footwear designer and British U23 Fell Running Champion, you can be confident they'll deliver.
Underfoot Feel
In order to improve your comfort when moving from one surface to another, the Ronhill Freedom Trail Running Shoes feature a Duo-Pro midsole. A firmer bottom layer of foam provides stability on uneven terrain, while a softer top layer increases comfort on hard-packed ground.
The capacity to feel confident on various surfaces is also enhanced by the versatile outsole tread. 4 mm lugs bite into surfaces and grip both hard and loose terrain. The sloped design at the base of the lugs maintains the integrity of the grip.
Finally, the MICHELIN outsole optimises traction with durability. As a result, you can run on compact terrain without worrying about quickly wearing the rubber down.
Upper Fit
You should expect the toe box to let your feet splay naturally. This is because the Ronhill Freedom Trail Running Shoes feature a foot shaped fit - called True Fit last.
The stand out technology is the full MATRYX® upper. With a Kevlar reinforced mid and forefoot, your feet should feel very supported. This material is one of the most durable upper constructions possible.
Finally, in contrast to typical designs, a split tongue extends over from both sides of the upper to improve the cradled fit of the midfoot. There's also a sturdy heel cup to increase stability on uneven terrain.
Ideal Run Type
We recommend choosing the Ronhill Women's Freedom Trail Running Shoes if you're searching for versatile door-to-trail running shoes. This is because the outsole offers great grip over an extensive range of surfaces. It also helps that the cushioning should feel comfortable on soft and hard packed ground.
Finally, it's worth noting the MICHELIN outsole is extremely durable - as a result, you can train in these on a daily basis.

Sizing Advice
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
