Cute pair of vintage Amish clothespin dolls. They are faceless due to the Amish beliefs that “all are alike in the eyes of God” and that the lack of facial features agrees with the Bible's commandment against graven images. Made of wood clothespins with a round wood head, yarn hair and traditional Amish clothes. Arms and legs are moveable. They are 5 5/8” tall, a little dusty and their clothes show some age related brown staining, but are otherwise in very good vintage condition. Please see photos for details.
